Robert Frost
Robert Frost (1874–1963) was an American poet known for his New England settings and plainspoken verse. He grew up in New England and lived much of his life in Massachusetts and Vermont, with strong ties to New Hampshire’s landscape and rural life. He is credible on New Hampshire because his poetry repeatedly draws on the region’s geography, seasons, and speech. Other notable works include The Road Not Taken and North of Boston.
