Marlon James is a Jamaican author born in 1970. He gained international acclaim with his novel "A Brief History of Seven Killings," which won the 2015 Man Booker Prize. The book explores the complex socio-political landscape of Jamaica, drawing from James's deep understanding of his homeland's history and culture. His other notable works include "The Book of Night Women," which won the 2010 Dayton Literary Peace Prize, and "Black Leopard, Red Wolf," the first in his Dark Star Trilogy.
